Luxottica Glasses Try-on App
While working at Mirar one of our main contracts required painting 3D textures of high-end retail glasses on to High Poly models for the Glasses.com application. Here are some of the Mr. Checkers test renders, a series of 36 images with the head rotating from side to side, that were created to check our texture work against the actual product which we had in-hand to ensure material and detail fidelity. I painted the various maps in Mari using custom built dynamic templates of my own design, on 2048 pixel maps and high poly models, using a full compliment of material channels to accurately recreate the wide range of materials used in eyeglasses. Some were of simple shiny black plastic and chrome construction while others were truly bizarre and required some experimentation to pull of using our existing system.
